The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

I grew up in a Disciples of Christ church, so it is what I am most familiar with. Disciples of Christ is just one denomination of the Christian church, but it is referred to as The Christian Church. I don't know why, I didn't make that decision. But if you look out on the Internet you'll see that I'm telling the truth. There are probably more denominations of churches than I know about. Just so you have an idea of what I am talking about, here are some examples: Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran. These are all Protestant. Christians are divided into two groups, Catholic and Protestant. I will do some research so I can give you a definition or something as to the differences there. Saying "divided" seems a bit...I don't know...it makes it sound like we don't get along. We do. We just have some differences in the way the churches are run and what we do.

If you want to know more about what the Christian Church is all about, read the preamble to the The Design for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and The DCC itself.

More to come, eventually!
